Crowe Horvath US has appointed James Powers as chief executive officer of the network's US operations, effective 1 April 2015.
Powers is currently serving as the managing partner of the firm's Indianapolis office. In his new role he will split his time between Indianapolis and the network's headquarters in Chicago.
Powers will succeed Charles Allen, who is completing his second four-year term and continues to serve as chief executive officer until 31 March 2015. Powers will also replace Allen as the Crowe Horwath US representative in the Crowe Horwath International board.
Powers joined the firm in 1978 and was elected partner in 1989.
