PwC UK has appointed George Stylianides as leader of its Financial Services Risk and Regulation practice.
Stylianides is joining the practice with over 25 years of experience working with financial institutions in Europe and Asia. He is taking over the leader role from Julie Coates, who is returning to Australia after four years in the UK.
The appointment has been made at a time when PwC UK is about to boost its FSSR department. According to PwC, the firm effectuated 15 promotions to partner, 30 promotions to director, three new director hires and one new partner hire to its FSSR practice over the last month.
"Financial services risk and regulation is a big priority for the firm and a rapidly growing area of PwC's financial services practice," PwC UK financial services leader Kevin Burrowes commented.
"It's great to see people with such wide-ranging new talent, experience and skills joining the practice, and reflects the importance we place on helping our clients address the huge amount of risk and regulatory issues they currently face," he added.
