Global advisory firm Duff & Phelps (D&P) has acquired the restructuring and insolvency division of RSM International Irish member firm RSM Farrell Grant Sparks ( RSM FGS).
D&P is headquartered in New York and offers services in valuation, dispute consulting, M&A and restructuring with more than 1000 employees.
As a result of the acquisition D&P's restructuring advisory practice now counts 200 professionals worldwide. The division will be lead by RSM FGS restructuring and insolvency partners Declan Taite, Pearse Farrell and Anne O'Dwyer.
"The addition of 56 restructuring and insolvency professionals from RSM FGS formalizes Duff & Phelps' presence in the Republic of Ireland and builds on our ability to deliver local expertise and geographic reach to our clients throughout Ireland and internationally," Duff & Phelps UK restructuring practice co-head Paul Clark commented.
Based in Dublin, RSM FGS offers audit, tax and advisory services. RSM FGS managing partner Jim Mulqueen said: "This is excellent news for the firm as it will enable us to concentrate on our audit, tax, advisory and corporate finance clients."
