Grant Thornton UK has launched a financial and dispute practice and announced further investments in international capabilities in forensic and investigation services.
The new practice will work alongside Grant Thornton UK's financial services advisory group to help clients mitigate, respond and remediate issues relating to financial crime and complex disputes in the global financial services sector.
Grant Thornton UK partner Marcus McCaffrey who will head the new practice said: "The increasing pressure of regulation and enforcement, set against a dynamically changing financial services market, means that all manner of financial institutions - and many other industry sectors too - are exposed to financial crime risk."
The launch of the new practice is an important step in addressing the financial crime and disputes concerns of the firm's clients which will be followed by more investments in international capabilities in forensic and investigation services in the coming months, Grant Thornton UK said in a statement.
