KPMG Portugal has announced the planned acquisition of business process management technology provider SAFIRA Consultadoria em Imformatica (SAFIRA).
Headquartered in Lisbon, SAFIRA builds business process management (BPM) and operational decision management (ODM) software for large multi-nationals. SAFIRA reported on its website €10.9m ($14.8m) total revenue in 2013, 75% of which came from international markets. The company counts 175 IT professionals.
This acquisition follows KPMG's global strategy to strengthen its technology capability. In the past few months the international network as acquired a number of IT service providers such as Cynergy Systems and Link Analytics in the US.
"The arrival of the SAFIRA team enables us to offer end to end services for our clients' business transformation programs, from strategy through to implementation," KPMG Portugal senior partner Sikander Sattar said.
