Mark Hunt has been appointed as the lead partner of BDO UK financial services practice.
Hunt has been a partner at BDO since 2007. Previously he was a partner at KPMG for 13 years. He is also a senior forensic and dispute advisory partner.
In his new role, Hunt will focus on strengthening the banking team. BDO is expected to recruit eight new partners for their financial services team in the next 12 months.
"We have ambitious plans to continue to grow the FS team by over 30% over the next 12 months, in line with our views of the increasing market opportunities," Hunt said.
And the appointment of the first of those new partners has already been acted as Leigh Wormald joined BDO UK from Baker Tilly UK. In a statement BDO said she was specialist in auditing and advising local and international banks, investment funds, private equity firms, hedge funds, exchange traded funds and stockbrokers.
