PwC UK has appointed Nick Bouch and David Choi partners to the firm's financial services risk and regulation team, in a bid to reinforce its data analytics services.
Bouch is a former leader of Deloitte's retail banking data analytics team. According to PwC UK, Bouch will take a leadership role in the firm's so-called financial services advanced risk and compliance analytics (ARCA) team.
Bouch's role will involve developing data analytics solutions for data management and governance, as well as aligning data with regulatory developments in the banking and capital markets sectors, PwC UK said.
Choi is joining from PwC US and will share with Bouch the leadership of PwC UK's ARCA team. Choi will focus on developing data analytics solutions for financial crimes, according to the firm.
PwC UK operational resilience and risk assurance financial services leader Sam Samaratunga said data analytics is a significant growth area, "as financial services institutions come to terms with significant regulatory change around data."
