EY UK is looking to recruit 3,700 staff during its financial year starting 1 July 2013.
Recruitment will be across the UK, and consist of 2,400 experienced staff, 700 graduates, 500 under graduates and 150 school leavers.
The firm said it doesn't publish figures by service line but hiring was broadly proportionate with each service line growth. EY added: "advisory hiring aspirations are particularly strong this year, driven by client demand."
EY said demand was being driven by a range of issues, including combating cyber-security, ongoing regulatory changes and sough after advisory services.
Recruitment is also being conducted to meet growth plans set out in EY's global strategy, according the firm.
Last year, EY UK had 11,008 total staff, including 549 partners, more than 600 staff and 68 partners behind its nearest UK competitor, KPMG.
