KPMG UK appointed James Wakelin to its real estate advisory team. With 11 years of real estate investment and financing experience, he will join the London based team to provide strategic advice, transactions structuring and other financial expertise to investors, fund managers, developers and occupiers.
Previously Wakelin worked as director at Pacific Real Estate Capital Partners and UBS Investment Bank.
KPMG UK also announced the appointment of 29 partners and 80 directors from within the firm. The promotions will be effective from the start of October.
"This year's promotions take in a wealth of specialist technical expertise and industry knowledge," KPMG UK chairman Simon Collins said.
"Our promotions reflect the types of business opportunities we are seeing, particularly for advisory services, including regulation and strategy, plus big market issues such as banks divesting portfolios of 'non-core' loan books and infrastructure finance."
