Changes at the top for KPMG

John Scott, managing partner of KPMG in Spain, will also become the firm's deputy global chairman on 1 October, replacing Alan Buckle, who is retiring at the end of the year after 32 years' service.

Scott will also become the new KPMG Europe, Middle East and Africa chairman succeeding Rolf Nonnenmacher, who is retiring.
The firm has also announced that Larry Bradley is to succeed Joachim Schindler on KPMG's global executive team as global head of audit on 1 September.

Tham Sai Choy, managing partner of KPMG Singapore has been appointed as the firm's Asia-Pacific chairman with effect from 1 October, succeeding Hideyo Uchiyama, managing partner of KPMG Japan.

Geoff Wilson, who recently retired as chief executive of KPMG Australia will become KPMG's Asia-Pacific chief operating officer, relocating to Hong Kong from Australia. Wilson takes over from Yap Chee Meng, who is retiring.

Tham Sai Choy and Wilson will both join KPMG's global executive team.
John Applegate is appointed KPMG International's new chief information officer with effect from 1 October, taking over from Stuart Campbell, who retires after 34 years with the firm.
