PwC UK and the international coalition against corruption, Transparency International, are to give nearly 150 UK businesses a guide on how to assess their risk of bribery and corruption.
PwC forensics partner Will Kenyon acted as lead author of the guide which is written in a practical style, informing companies about how to combat the complex nature of bribery.
The guide contains a practical risk assessment with a step-by-step approach to assessing and reporting on issues.
Transparency International UK executive director, Robert Barrington, said: "The launch of this guide is timely and follows our recent TI corruption survey which shows that whilst people are prepared to fight against such issues - it is still widespread enough that we need to take action".
Kenyon said bribery and corruption are becoming a "top priority" and that it is "fundamental that companies must lead from top as boards and management are responsible for setting strategy and objectives as well as promoting the right culture".
